Our Projects
PAF has two primary projects: the Center for Working Families and the National Open Ballot Project. The first reflects our commitment to equality. The second reflects our commitment to democratic reform.

The Center for Working Families is an public policy think-tank that combines ambitious policy goals with broad-based coalition building to create strategic and effective campaigns for real change in the lives of working people. On issues like progressive tax reform and linking the new green economy to living wage jobs, the Center has led the way and injected smart progressivism into the forefront of public debate Learn more at: www.cwfny.org |

The National Open Ballot Project is the nation's foremost advocate of the election reform known 'fusion' or 'open ballot' voting. Through education and research, the NOBP has made historic progress on election reform and turned the tide back toward a common-sense reform that gives voters more choices, increases the accountability of elected officials and gives minor parties a meaningful and constructive role to play in our democracy More at: www.openballotvoting.org |
PAF has also created leading community-labor coalitions and sponsored or supported the work of like-minded organizations in several other states, including Maryland, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maine and Oregon on both democratic reform and economic justice, and hopes to expand its activities in these and other states in the years ahead.
